The pride of Westchester craft beer-enthusiasts, Captain Lawrence Brewery, recently expanded into a state-of-the-art facility in Elmsford, more than TRIPLING the space from their original Pleasantville location.
While this move is allowing Captain Lawrence to expand their distribution (translation- we’ll be able to find their delicious beers at more bars and stores!), the best part for locals just might be the spacious tasting room, which boasts a 30ft long oak bar and two 12 tap towers! Wooden barrels are turned into high top bar tables for small groups to gather round while a glass door allows guests to view the inner-workings of the brewery.
Beyond more space, Captain Lawrence is now offering local meats, cheeses, farm roasted nuts and jerkies to snack and pair with tasty Captain Lawrence Ales. During the warm weather months, they’ll even be working with local food trucks to provide guests with gourmet roadside treats and snacks. In addition, an outdoor patio will soon be available to guests with picnic tables and benches for al fresco drinking and eating.
If you love to try new beers, the new facility was made with you in mind. Captain Lawrence’s new 7 barrel experimental brew house will allow their brewers to create beer from their own recipes to showcase in the tasting room. The beers will only be made available during tasting room hours and will not be sold in bars, restaurants or stores.
