Especially in today’s economy, the movement to support small business is gaining momentum, and the internet has made finding amazing artisan products easier than ever. One website that allows interested buyers to find unique, hand-made products is Etsy.
Now, we know that there are tons of talented craftsmen, designers, artists, & bakers throughout Westchester County, but we also know that trying to set up an Etsy shop can be intimidating, especially for those less familiar with technology. That’s why we love hearing about someone like Karen Lee who is empowering these creative individuals to make share their products.
Karen Lee, a certified Etsy Educator, will be starting a series of hands-on classes to help you start a shop on Etsy – an online platform for buying and selling everything handmade, vintage, and supplies. Karen will be teaching several classes throughout Westchester this Fall, covering topics like:
- What you need to set up an Etsy shop
- How to get started making your first sales
- Where to go when you need help
- The four keys to Etsy success.
- How to photograph your products
- Tips on social media marketing, blogging, and more.
The current class schedule for Fall 2012 is below and the list will updated as new classes are added on Joys of Handmade website.
