Learn why every organization – big and small – needs practical social responsibility programs. Sustainability – independently or as part of a CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) program – is the most powerful reputation-building approach to business today. Many companies see such programs as the best way to mitigate the distrust America has with business and bolster reputations. Every organization can benefit by adopting an approach to social responsibility. However, not every program, initiative, product or service, can or should be social responsibility-related. Dr. Paul Ziek – a social responsibility expert – calls missteps in this area “CSR-traps to be avoided.”

Our expert panel will explore the positive visibility benefits of sustainability and social responsibility programs and the need for PR professionals to be sensitive to negative repercussions, as well. The panelists will detail award-winning initiatives and help you define critical issues affecting your organization’s social responsibility strategies. The discussion will include an inside look at CSR cases and initiatives.

The panel includes four accomplished professionals with decades of social responsibility experience – Dr. Paul Ziek, assistant professor of media, communication and visual arts at Pace University; Debora Fillis Ryba, the Sustainability Manager at Nestlé Waters North America (NWNA), Ken Koprowski, communication consultant and professor of communication at NYU and UConn; and Mark Bruce, HiTechPR president, NYU SCPS instructor and Pace University Adjunct Assistant Professor.
