Did you know that an average of 20,000 hawks, eagles, falcons and vultures migrate over our Quaker Ridge Hawk Watch every fall? Come join our hawk-counter Ryan MacLean as we kick off another hawkwatching season to learn how we identify and tally raptors at Audubon Greenwich and other hawkwatches across the country. We’ll begin with a presentation in Kiernan Hall followed by a short walk to the Hawk Watch lawn where you’ll learn how to use binoculars and with some luck hopefully see a few raptors up close. Bring your own binoculars or borrow one of our loaner pairs.  Picnic refreshments will be served on the lawn afterwards.

Fee: $5 per person

RSVP to Gigi Lombardi: [email protected] or 203-930-1351.
