The classic rock trio known as The Gents brings their unique and varied selection of classic rock and album cuts to Opus 465 in Armonk, NY on Friday, October 25th from 8:30pm-11:30pm. The band remains faithful to the rock ‘n’ roll standards of Led Zeppelin, Tom Petty and Aerosmith yet digs deeper with lesser-known cuts from Bad Finger, Argent, Grand Funk, Peter Frampton and Lynyrd Skynyrd.
The band features Al Renino (bass/vocals), Vinny Frisina (guitar/vocals) and Brian Doherty (drums/vocals). Collectively known as The Gents, the musicians are also individually known for their work with a varied array of musical groups across many genres. Bassist Al Renino is a Westchester, NY native and has worked with guitar legends Leslie West, Joe Walsh and Grammy-nominated Jonathan Sprout. A Danbury resident, guitarist Vinny Frisina has worked with Camine Leggio, Erskin Hawkins and Jeffrey Osbourne. He is also an in-demand songwriter, producer and session guitarist. Drummer Brian Doherty lives in Hawthorne, NY and has supplied beats to Ben Folds, XTC and Freedy Johnston. He was also a member of the group They Might Be Giants and can be heard on several of TMBG’s recordings.
