Did you know that March is Maple Sugaring Season in the Northeast? This time of year, discover FRESH maple syrup in and around Westchester. SUGARING AT TEATOWN
There is a lot of sugaring going on at the TEATOWN LAKE RESERVATION in Ossining this March. Located at 1600 Spring Valley Road, Ossining, Teatown will be offering their “Rent a Bucket” program now through March 16, 2012. Tap a tree, and collect your own sap, then bring it to the sugar house to make it into syrup! On March 17, 2012, there will be a pancake breakfast, with seatings at 8:30am, 9:45am, 11am and 12:15pm. March 4 and March 11 will be Maple Sugaring Days, when naturalists will share facts about sugaring. Visit the WEBSITE for more information and reservations.
GREENBURGH NATURE CENTER’S MAPLE SUGARING PARTY
