Press Release: Nicaragua Sensory Garden Project – Arts Unchained and FNE International’s 2nd Annual Fundraising Event

Join us in a festive fundraiser featuring an art auction with artwork created by local artists, amazing live Jazz by Chris Conte, delicious free food, and door prizes as we support the construction of a Sensory Garden at Niño Feliz, a special needs school in Nicaragua. Niño Feliz provides education to children with a variety of diagnoses including children with Down’s Syndrome, Autism, severe physical disabilities, the hearing impaired, and the visually impaired. This Sensory Garden will provide a safe, therapeutic and environmentally conscious area for children to learn through play. Be a part of this movement and have fun doing it.

What is a sensory garden?

A sensory garden is an environment that is designed with the purpose of stimulating the senses. This stimulation occurs courtesy of plants and the use of other materials that engage one’s senses of sight, smell, touch, taste, and sound. Unlike most gardens, visitors are encouraged to interact, explore, and play within the space.
