There is a fascinating and lesser-known chapter in the career of Jasper Johns. He was artistic advisor for the avant-garde Merce Cunningham Dance Company, which connected him to movement artists, musicians, and performers, and influenced Johns’s thinking about time and space.
Cultural Katonah, a new collaboration between Caramoor, John Jay Homestead State Historic Site, and the Katonah Museum of Art offers compelling interdisciplinary programs that showcase Katonah as a cultural destination. Every season, each institution presents a thematic program. This spring, three speakers will examine icons in American culture.

Cost: Tickets: $20 members of KMA, Friends of John Jay Homestead, and Caramoor; $25 non-members; free for students (limited availability). Limited space; advance registration recommended.

Tickets: For more information and to purchase tickets for this program at the Katonah Museum of Art, call 914-232-9555.
