Reuven Shares His Personal Account

WHAT: Chabad of Bedford to Host IDF Commander Sassy Reuven, who will share first hand accounts of how Israel pulled off the greatest hostage rescue in history.

WHO: Sassy Reuven is a veteran of the Israel Defense Force. During the terror-filled years of 1973-76, he served in the IDF’s elite “Red Beret” paratroopers unit. In July of 1976, Sassy participated in the famed Entebbe rescue mission code named “Operation Thunderbolt.” Sassy will share his personal experiences from the moment he was called to duty, including the preparation for the mission, landing in Uganda and completing the mission behind enemy lines.
