As bittersweet as it may sound, summer is almost over! I woke up today, turned off my A/C and walked outside to a brisk morning. I could almost taste the fall right around the corner and I welcome every bit of it! For fall-brides, there are so many ways to incorporate the indulgences of the season into your wedding day. Below is a go-to guide for the future fall Mrs.!
-Color Me Rich: the fall is sprinkled with the most magnificent colors. The richness of bronze, oranges, golds and deep reds. You can also include other plush colors like plums and sages. These colors can be incoporated into your floral arrangements, accent colors on invitations and stationery items, or even in your bridal party attire.
-Cozy Up: Keep in mind that brisk weather is sure to strike throughout the crisp fall nights. How about providing shawls for your bridesmaids, considering outdoor heaters if your cocktails/dessert is served outdoors, or even lighting a fireplace if your reception site has one to embrace the feeling of fall.
-Delicious Decor: Make use of the seasonal decorations that are available during these months (berries, leaves, artichokes, pumpkins, gourds etc.) You can use these items to decorate your place card/favor/cake tables. You can also include them in your floral bouquets and even in your centerpieces.
-Savory Selections: For your fall wedding menu, speak to your caterer about including hearty, autumn choices and sides that use ingredients like cranberries, butternut squash, apples etc.
-Seasonal Sweets: When choosing your cake/dessert options try exploring with autumn flavors. Ask to taste a pumpkin spice cake with cream cheese icing. Or keep a more neutral cake, such as a fluffy white and accent it with pumpkin ice cream and caramel drizzle on the side.
-Fall Favor Favorites: Think about giving out fall inspired favors to your guests to further indulge in all things fall. Consider customized apple cider mixes, caramel apples or even personalized maple syrup bottles.
Having the season of your wedding further inspire your details is a great way to tie everything together. Are/were you a fall bride? What autumn accents did you include in your big day? Feel free to share your ideas and inspirations on fall-ing in love. Why knot?!
