Fashion is big business, but not everyone gets to sit on the side of the runway during Mercedes-Benz Fashion week. But what better way to spend some time than staying local, watching a fashion show, AND contributing to a wonderful charity all at the same time?
The John A. Coleman School and Children’s Rehabilitation Center will host its 7th Annual Fashion Show Fundraiser on Thursday, April 26th at CV Rich Mansion in White Plains. According to Kirstin McArthur, Associate Director of Development, “it will be a great night out filled with fashion, shopping, raffles, silent auctions and fun!”
Jene’ Luciani, TV Style Correspondent and author of the best selling The Bra Book, has once again signed up to MC the evening. You may remember our article on Jene, and you surely have watched her giving makeovers on the Today Show and have seen her on the Bravo reality series Mad Fashion!
McArthur says, “last years event was a great success, with over 100 people in attendance. We raised over $20,000 for the children of the Coleman School.”
The COLEMAN SCHOOL is only a part of a greater network of establishments that are comprised of Coleman, the CHILDREN’S REHABILITATION CENTER and the ELIZABETH SETON PEDIATRIC CENTER. The Coleman School and the Children’s Rehab Center have locations in both Manhattan and White Plains. The Coleman School provides special education programs and services to children from birth to 21 years of age. The White Plains campus is one of the largest providers of home, community and center based pre-school special education in Westchester County, providing services to children from over 25 school districts in Westchester, Putnam, Bronx and Manhattan. The Manhattan campus serves the residents of the Elizabeth Seton Pediatric Center, a 136 bed skilled nursing facility serving medically fragile children. Last year the Coleman School served over 1,400 children and their families!
The Children’s Rehabilitation Center (CRC), located in White Plains, provides comprehensive medical and rehabilitative services to children, birth to 21 years of age, from the Bronx, Westchester, Putnam, Orange, and Dutchess Counties, NY, who have complex medical conditions or disabilities such as cerebral palsy, spina bifida, chromosomal syndromes, orthopedic impairments, delayed development, and other diagnoses. Last year the CRC provided services to over 3,000 children.
For the benefit fundraiser, tickets are $75 each, and a table of 10 is $750, and both tickets and sponsorship opportunities are still available. If you are interested in attending, you can contact Ms. McArthur. If you can not attend but would like to make a donation, please send donation to:
