Look Your Best this Holiday Season with Makeup Tips from Our Pro!

A while back, we introduced you to local celebrity makeup artist, Phyliss Ciafone.  Ms. Ciafone has some holiday makeup tips for you to look your best this season!

Less is More for this seasons perfect Holiday face!

No need to overdue it or stress your face {literally}. Treat yourself to a mini at home facial 2 nights before your event.

When your event rolls around, follow these simple steps to a youthful and vibrant holiday look! Recreate actress Kate Winslet’s look as seen below…

*Start off with a clean, moisturized face using a tinted moisturizer. Trish McEvoy is still the winner as far as tinted moisturizers are concerned.

*Apply a pale shimmery shadow to the lids only (do not pass the natural crease). I love Giorgio Armani’s Eyes to Kill Intense Eyecolor Holiday Madreperla in Silver/Gold. Just enough shimmer without looking like your 6yr old painted glitter on your lids!

*Line your natural lash line with a black liquid liner that your comfortable using. I love a liquid liner that comes in a “pen” form to offer more control of the line you’re trying to create. My artist fave is also by Giorgio Armani. If liquid tends to irritate your eyes, you could create this look with a sharpened black pencil as well.

*Apply a very black mascara to your upper lashes only. My two artist faves are YSL’s Radical Noir in black. It offers length, volume and has a subtle laquer to the finish… and Giorgio Armani’s Eyes to Kill Extreme. Beware because once you try these, you’ll be hooked!

* Apply a subtle cream blush to the apples of your cheeks, YSL has an amazing collection of quality cream blushes that I’ve used as lip hues also! Pair this with any vibrant pink or red  lip shade that compliments your skin tone and you’re holiday glam at its finest!
