There are so many things going on this weekend around Westchester County. In addition to our guide for Father’s Day, there tons of things to do, places to go, and people to see around the county.
Don’t forget to check out the GREAT HUDSON RIVER REVIVAL at Croton Point Park this weekend. It runs on Saturday and Sunday, and benefits the Sloop Clearwater. There will be SO many musical groups to hear, and lots of great food and handicrafts from local and area vendors.
On Friday evening from 6pm to 10pm, take your pooch, kitty or other animal friend on over to Main Street in Tarrytown for the Pet Parade! There will be live music from Four Piece Racket, a dance performance from Sleepy Hollow Performing Arts, and so much more!
Another festival you may want to visit this weekend is the Ukrainian Heritage Festival, on the grounds of St. Michael’s Ukrainian Church in Yonkers. See our full post regarding the festival – 16,000 Pierogies!! (yes, that many!!)
If you are a fan of live music, there are a few fantastic shows in town this weekend. Feel like combining charity and music, and want to “Come Alive”?? Well, then check out Peter Frampton – playing at the 8th Annual Red Carpet Night Fundraising Gala at the Paramount Center for the Arts in Peekskill. He will be playing the full album “Frampton Comes Alive”, along with selections from his other works, including his critically acclaimed new album, “Thank You, Mr. Churchill”. If you are in the mood for more rock and roll, then head to the Hudson and the Tarrytown Music Hall. Performing there on Saturday night is the Grammy-Award winning band, Los Lonely Boys. The show starts at 8pm, and you may not want to miss the rockin’ sounds of this Texican trio of brothers, and cuts from their latest album, “Rockpango”.
In need of a good laugh? Head on over to the Sound Shore, and drop into the Emelin Theater in Mamaroneck. Famous comedian extraordinaire, Jackie Mason, will be entertaining the crowd during shows at 8pm on Saturday night and at 3pm on Sunday.
