Spring will officially arrive on Saturday, April 11, 2015 as the Woman’s Club of White Plains Foundation hosts its annual Scholarship Luncheon and Spring Fashion Show. The event starts at 11:30 am and includes luncheon, fashion show and silent auction. As in years past, it will be a wonderful way to break out of the winter doldrums and support our local youth at the same time.
The fashion show will feature clothing from a number of local shops including Bloomingdales, Lola’s, Gabriella’s and Couture amongst others. Special guest models this year will include members of the WP Board of Education. This year’s honorees will be Barbara Dannenberg, former educator, longtime volunteer leader and philanthropist and Paula Dalto, educator, longtime Student Activities Coordinator at the WP High School and mentor.
The Woman’s Club has been raising money for scholarships for White Plains students for over 60 years and this year will be the eighth annual Scholarship Luncheon and Spring Fashion Show. Last year over 200 people attended and fifteen thousand dollars in scholarships were awarded to WP High School students. Further information and tickets can be obtained on the website, www.womansclubofwhiteplains.org.
